A Winter Wonderland Christmas Home Tour

Hello Fiddle Leaf friends!  Can you believe it’s already December?! 2018 just flew right by! Now that we’re rapidly approaching Christmas, several amazingly talented ladies and I have decided to do a Christmas Blog Hop showcasing our Christmas decor, DIYs, recipes, and general festivating with you!  You can click to all of their pages at the end of this post! As for me, I wanted to give y’all a tour of our downstairs Christmas decor (because the upstairs still looks semi-tornado-ish after returning from our trip to Oregon for Thanksgiving)! Oops! But you know, we live here. 😛  The downstairs though, is exactly as I pictured, a twinkly and cozy…

Holiday Top 10s – Christmas Decor Items

Hello Fiddle Leaf Friends! If you follow me over on Instagram, you’ll know I decked the halls a bit early this year! I’ve got so many more spaces of my home to show you (and a full Holiday Home Tour will be here on the blog soon!), but I’ve already gotten so many questions on several of my Christmas/Winter decor pieces this year.  I’ve also been doing my last minute (yes, November is LAST minute for my list loving/planner heart) holiday shopping, and have found some amazing gifts at fabulous prices! And hence, the… “Tuesday Top 10” …was born!  Each Tuesday for the next 3 weeks, I’ll be sharing my…

Fall Decor Home Tour – My Secret to Adding All the Fall Feels to Your Home!

Hello sweet friends! Welcome to our Fall Blog Hop!! If you’re coming from Crystal and Cleats, welcome!! So, it’s finally FALL! The best season of all, if you ask me! It means pumpkins, sweaters, boots, scarves, crisp sunny days! Okay, well maybe that’s what it meant back when I lived in Georgia – now its more so an extended summer, but with pumpkins.  Sometimes, I’ll turn on the AC and light me up the fireplace and just pretend for a few minutes 😛 But, even if its still hot as all get out here in SoCal, that doesn’t mean the Fall decor falls by the wayside.  In fact, it’s the…

    DIY Olive Tree

Hey friends, it’s been awhile – but I’ve got loads coming up for you over the next couple months! (aka – the ORC is coming up!) But for now, I’m here with a quick and easy DIY for you – this adorable faux Olive Tree/Topiary! What You’ll Need: Faux Olive Bush (I used THIS one from Hobby Lobby) Bucket of your Choice (I used the larger one of THIS set, also from Hobby Lobby) Branch (I prefer larger ones – snagged mine from a lake near our house, but you can use any size you prefer and adjust for wherever you plan to put the finished tree) Hand-held drill, with…

Easy DIY Industrial Pipe Paper Towel Holder

Y’ALL.  It has been a hot minute since I’ve posted here.  I KNOW. And I’m so sorry! (And I’ve missed ya!)  But May be CRAY – am I right?!  I swear this month flew by.  The combination of finishing up the One Room Challenge, and then being EXHAUSTED from the aftermath of it all, plus my parents visiting last weekend really just made May fly.  But I am BACK, and while I haven’t quite had the time to get the backsplash tutorial up (coming soon, promise!), I do have a quick and easy DIY for ya today. When we were designing our kitchen for the ORC, I knew I wanted…

    How to: DIY Pallet Headboard

Happy Thursday!  Today I am going to share with y’all a project that I get asked about ALL the time – my DIY pallet headboard that is in our guest room! It used to be in our master bedroom, but when we bought our house, we decided we wanted an Eastern King bed (we need the width because of Napa) instead of a Cal King bed (we are both <6ft so the extra length a Cal King provides is not necessary).  So that meant my pretty pallet headboard wouldn’t fit our new wider master bed. 🙁  But, I think it fits perfectly in our guest room and I must say…

Whimsy vs. Understated: A Spring Mantel Story

Fun fact: Each holiday I get out our decoration boxes from the garage, and I go through them, pulling out what I want to use and what I don’t.  Half of the stuff I find, I didn’t even know I had, because honestly, MOST of my decorations were passed down to me from my mom (who was the holiday decor QUEEN), and I don’t even remember saying “yea, sure, I’ll take that!” To be frank, a lot of the stuff I have I have out of guilt (sorry, mom!).  I say this because there are so many decorations I remember from my childhood that just like my mom, I can’t…

Easy & Inexpensive DIY Spring Tablescape

It’s only a couple of weeks until Easter, and while it is a dreary rainy day here in SoCal, I am dreaming of Spring weather, fresh blooms, and pastel sundresses!  Anyone else?! My Spring tablescape was not only super easy, but it was also very inexpensive!  Granted, some of the items I already had, but I’m guessing you likely have many of these items in your home as well! *This post may contain affiliate links – see my full Disclosure here* What You’ll Need: Terra Cotta pots (how many is up to you – our table is 72″ and I used six, three medium and three small) Masking or Painter’s…

DIY Painted Tile Floors (& why you should or shouldn’t try them yourself)!

Hello friends! If you follow me on Instagram (@fiddleleafinteriors) you’ve surely seen my most recent DIY project – painted tile floors in our downstairs powder room!  This project took MUCH longer than expected (partly because I am a slight perfectionist, and this DIY totally challenged that part of me)!  However, now that it’s done, I am SO happy with it.  And for all the late nights and swearing I would never do this again, I most definitely will be doing the same thing to our master bath, and maybe our guest bath, upstairs too! (This time I’ll just be using a MUCH larger stencil)! That said, and as happy as…
