2020 Fall Home Tour – Fiddle Leaf Interiors

Happy Fall! I can’t even believe it will be October this week! Where has the time gone? I suppose it’s 2020, so it’s probably in some black hole somewhere along with all my missing socks and hair ties? LOL.

Things are about the get SPOOKY over here at the Fiddle Leaf House, but because Fall extends all the way through Thanksgiving, I want to share all of the Fall inspiration I can with you! This years Fall Home Tour is my favorite yet. I brought in the traditional and rich Fall colors, along with loads of pumpkins and florals.

You know my middle name is TEXTURE, so naturally I add as much of it as I can find! Cozy blankets, throws, and different materials like glass, concrete, wood, and mixed greens.

I also like to keep our holiday home decor generally cohesive throughout the house. Our downstairs is very open concept, so I enjoy having the whole space flow together.

I of course used my DIY concrete pumpkins and my black mud paint pumpkins throughout our home – they were so easy and fun to make and really added a fun element to each space.

In lieu of mums this year (still too hot in SoCal and I didn’t have great luck growing them indoors last year), I purchased more pumpkins than I’ve ever bought in my whole life. OOPS! I had fun styling them around the house for photos, and in a couple weeks I’ll move most of them back outside on our front porch.

Not to worry – pumpkins were removed after this photo and no one tripped in the process!

Our kitchen was fun to decorate this year! I restyled the shelves with Fall florals to add a pop of color. And that vintage fireplace screen you see behind the sink was gifted to me by a sweet Instagram follower! I personally loved it behind the sink, but hubby wasn’t so thrilled. It has since been moved to a new location but it was fun while it lasted!

Here you can see some more of that yummy texture I added in the form of pillows and throw blankets. I love using those two items to really change the feel of a space each season, and it’s a lot more practical than swapping out larger items or even than buying tons of new holiday decor each year. The power of a colored throw blanket is real, y’all!

And lastly, I kept things pretty simple in our bedroom. I made this easy Fall garland with some old book pages, construction paper and twine to drape over our antique mirrors. I then added a few Fall florals to the eucalyptus garland I already had in place. It’s a true testament to not needing to go CRAZY with decor in order to get those cozy Fall vibes!

And that’s our home all dressed up for Fall! I hope you enjoyed this years Fall Home Tour and that you get some inspiration for your own Fall and Thanksgiving decor!

Happy new week and I’ll see you next time.

XO,

Ana
